Plywood comes in many different thicknesses, material types, grades, and cores. It’s important to choose plywood that is made for your specific interior or exterior project. Our knowledgeable staff can help you narrow down your options, and assist you in finding the right plywood for your project.
Brands we carry
Weyerhaeuser Edge Gold
The 50-year limited warranty is proof Weyerhaeuser Edge Gold™ panels perform. Thanks to patent-pending Down Pore® self-draining technology and a proprietary edge seal, Edge Gold panels withstand the elements so well that they can allow framers to extend their building season.
Each panel is touch-sanded to provide a uniform appearance and tighter thickness tolerances. The face of every panel is stamped with a fastening template and each bundle ships face-up, ready for easy and accurate installation right off the truck. Weyerhaeuser Edge Gold panels install flat, stay flat and look good for customer walkthroughs.
Weyerhaeuser Diamond
A diamond is one of the hardest and most impervious materials on earth. And Weyerhaeuser Diamond panels live up to that reputation: they're strong, durable and forged using time and pressure. Over 25 years ago Weyerhaeuser pioneered the manufacture of enhanced subfloor panels, and as technology progressed, their scientists kept pace to deliver a new benchmark in performance: a panel that is tough, highly resistant to weather, and engineered to save you time and money with our easy-fit T&G edges. By adding Diamond to their line of quality subfloor solutions that include Edge™ and Edge Gold™ panels, Weyerhaeuser can help you build the best floors possible, in the toughest of conditions.
Norboard Windstorm
Norboard Windstorm is top-quality engineered wood wall sheathing that helps you meet hurricane wind codes, reduce or eliminate the metal hardware expense, the hassle of cutting blocking for horizontal joints and all the labor related to them. That easily translates into savings of up to $1,000 or more per house in construction material, labor and waste. There are a lot of high wind events all across the country, not just along the coasts, and Windstorm offers significant benefits and advantages in all areas. The power of uplift and shear forces are not restricted to hurricane areas. The method Windstorm utilizes has been in the building codes as far back as the SSTD 10-99 and is in the most recent codes in effect today.
Huber Zip System
ZIP System® sheathing and tape is an innovative structural roof and wall system with an integrated water resistant and air barrier that streamlines the weatherization process and transforms it with a simple two-step installation. Just put up the panels and tape the seams. ZIP System™ tape is so easy it turns taping into a one-man job; and so fast, it installs 40% quicker than housewrap, helping to save money on labor costs and improve project cycle times. By achieving optimal levels of permeability and drainage, ZIP System® sheathing and tape protects against water intrusion while still allowing the panels to properly dry. ZIP System® sheathing and tape forms a tight barrier against unwanted air leakage, creating a durable building envelope that promotes energy efficiency and increases interior comfort.
AdvanTech
There’s plywood, there’s OSB, then there’s AdvanTech® panels. Engineered with the same moisture-resistant resins (as AdvanTech® flooring) to protect against the damaging effects of weather during construction and over time. In addition, it is Structural 1 rated to provide excellent shear resistance and added strength to your roofs and walls. Compare AdvanTech sheathing to plywood and you’ll see there is no comparison. AdvanTech® roof and wall sheathing is designed with higher strength and stiffness design values than plywood and traditional OSB to reduce risk of wavy roof lines and uneven wall finishes.
LP WeatherLogic
To create a Structural I OSB panel, LP's innovative manufacturing process combines wood strands oriented in cross-directional layers with waxes and resins for greater cross-panel strength and stiffness. Then, to create LP WeatherLogic® panels, an integrated, water-resistive overlay is added, completing an integrated wall sheathing panel that provides both air and water protection. Rated for both wall and roof applications, the system eliminates the need for secondary housewrap (or roof underlayment, in most cases) while increasing the structural integrity of the home. WeatherLogic helps safeguard the home from water intrusion for a tighter building envelope while allowing moisture vapor to escape. It installs just like regular sheathing for potential labor savings while keeping jobsites cleaner and more professional. Their versatile roof and wall panels add greater cross-panel strength and stiffness for enhanced structural capacity. WeatherLogic protects against air and water during construction, providing structural stability for years to come.
Dricon
For more than 25 years builders and homeowners have chosen Dricon fire retardant treated (FRT) wood for its proven effectiveness in both slowing the spread of flames and reducing smoke in the unfortunate event of a fire. Combining the flexibility, warmth and environmental advantages of wood with the protection and security of flame resistance, Dricon FRT wood is an economical choice for framing, roofs and other interior applications in both commercial and residential buildings. Dricon FRT wood is chemically treated to react to fire by creating its own protective char shell which preserves its structural integrity and ultimately lessens the potential damage.
Thermo-Ply
Thermo-ply® is a high-performance alternative to wood structural panels. With grades and options to meet every builder’s needs, Thermo-ply® Structural Sheathing meets or exceeds building codes, provides an efficient water resistant barrier and best-in-class air barrier. It is composed of pressure laminated plies consisting of high-strength cellulosic fibers. Fibers are specially-treated to be water resistant and are bonded with a proprietary water-resistant adhesive. A protective polymer layer is applied on both sides of the panel, and foil facings may be applied on one or both faces. Thermo-Ply has been made from 100% recycled material since 1967 and it’s manufactured using low VOC materials that don’t contain asphalts, formaldehydes, or phenols.
