Kiln Dried Douglas Fir Dimensional Lumber is dimensionally stable and universally recognized for its superior strength-to-weight ratio. Its high specific gravity provides excellent nail and plate holding ability. The species also enjoys a documented superior performance against strong forces resulting from winds, storms and earthquakes. It is truly the ideal structural and general purpose wood for framing lumber in residential, light commercial, multi-story and industrial construction.
As a framing material for residential, commercial and industrial buildings, kiln dried hem fir dimensional lumber is valued for its strength, versatility and ease of use. Hem Fir is light in color varying from a creamy, nearly white to a light, straw-brown color. Its fiber characteristics are ideally suited for the load-bearing and load carrying requirements of residential and light commercial construction and offer exceptional wear resistance on high-traffic areas in outdoor applications.
FrameGuard® is a blend of anti-mold and preservative compounds that protects wood used as framing, millwork and trim. This water-based formulation is factory-applied using a high-tech dip or spray process that provides a broad spectrum of protection against mold, decay and termite damage. New construction keeps buildings sealed from outside elements, but they also seal interior elements in. When moisture or termites find their way inside, FrameGuard® treated lumber protects the building from mold, decay and termite damage.
Hoover Treated Wood Products supplies a comprehensive portfolio of pressure-impregnated kiln-dried lumber and plywood products for fire retardant and preservative applications. The rigorous quality control procedures employed by Hoover are constantly reviewed and inspected by Underwriters Laboratories and Timber Products Inspection’s follow-up services.
Woodhaven supplies MCA (Micronized Copper Azole) pressure-treated Southern Yellow Pine from a variety of trusted manufacturers. Popular for decks and other framing applications, this product gives an attractive natural wood appearance and is resistant to rot, decay, and termites. It is relatively non-corrosive to hardware and fasteners and is available in Cedar and Redwood tints. In addition to being the strongest structural pine, it is abundantly grown and dimensionally stable.
